Real McCoy Enterprises officially opened its doors in 2010. But the heartbeat of the business started long before that … going back to 1948 when Scott and Edith McCoy started buying vegetables and small grains in downtown Davisboro, a small but vibrant community in eastern Washington County, Georgia.

Real McCoy Enterprises is owned by Scotty McCoy and his children, Chris McCoy & Meredith Hoffmann. But the seeds of today’s commitment to protecting stored grain started with the original “Real McCoys”. In 1948, Scott and Edith McCoy started buying vegetables and small grains in downtown Davisboro, a small but vibrant community in eastern Washington County, Georgia. From there, the business grew into a robust buying station with elevators and numerous storage bins. And that’s when Scotty McCoy started a lifelong career and passion for agribusiness and specifically the preservation of quality in stored grains.
